Theres different reasons why I'd prefer being around men and women. The reasons its a good thing to be friend with girls is because if you tell them stuff girl related they can relate to the situation. The reason its good to be closer to boys is because as friends they are usually less stressful. But overall i prefer being friends with guys because its less stressful and they can have all the qualities of a girl and more! When you're friends with a girl theres usually some sort of jealousy towards them. Girls are usually the one doing some messed up stuff do you, like doing stuff with your ex, being fake and etc ( i mean i think that right now because that's what girls do around me). Its easier to be around guys, because you can talk to guys about boys and see their point of view since THEY ARE GUYS; also there would mostly be no jealousy or anything or having to change to feel better than the other or they can receive more attention because as a guy they will get their attention as a guy and ill get my attention as a girl. Guys there would be no chance of like them doing stuff with my ex or feeling some type of way when they do stuff with my ex or someone i like unless they're gay. Most guys i know are really funny and i love humorus people and are funnier than girls , and only some girls are really funny but thats just SOME.But guys and girls both get annoying to me.
But of course all of this is depending on the person NOT just cause of their gender. But i don't really talk to girls like that no more because girls just ERK ME ! They always do messed up stuff and i always end up seeing their true colors after awhile. I pretty much can say in school i only have 3 friends that i'm close to and the rest are just guys. I honestly cant stand girls, i don't know.

Wow, you make a very clear and powerful argument for why it's better to have friends of the opposite sex. Though, some people say you can never truly be friends with the opposite sex because there's always the issue of attraction. They believe that secretly all opposite sex friends are attracted to each other, so they're not really "friends". How do you respond to those people?
true. i mean often it does happen but i don't think it is true in all situations. i mean for example your brother can be your best friend. doesn't mean you're attracted to him !
